ABOUT UROLA
The United Rule of Law Appeal (UROLA) was established in 2011 as a charitable organization, dedicated to advancing the rule of law globally through impactful educational, scientific, and charitable initiatives. We proudly support our member organizations by promoting their visibility and providing grants to further their work in fostering robust legal frameworks worldwide. The United Rule of Law Appeal is a 501(c)(3) exempt organization under U.S. IRS Code, established in Washington, DC. UROLA sponsors select and vetted events and solicits donations to further distribute funds to qualified entities to strengthen the global rule of law. Our mission is to create a lasting impact by empowering legal institutions and practitioners committed to this cause.
GOVERNANCE
Professor Don Wallace, Jr., an eminent international law scholar, serving as Chairman of the United Rule of Law Appeal. Prof. Wallace is distinguished as Chairman of the International Law Institute; Professor of Law, Georgetown University; U.S. delegate to UNCITRAL; Vice President UNIDROIT Foundation; Member, American Law Institute; Former Chair of the International Law Section, American Bar Association; and other memberships; author and editor of many books and articles.
